Texas Hill Country Landscapes - The Big Dipper over Enchanted Rock
On a warm summer night, I trekked to the top of Enchanted Rock, one of my favorite state parks in the Texas Hill Country, and planned on shooting the Milky Way. While there, I noticed the Big Dipper to the northwest and couldn't resist capturing this iconic group of stars with this old tree in the foreground. I'm always amazed at the night sky when there is little light pollution. The glow in the distance is more from the recent sunset than city lights.
