Wildflowers and the Crestone Peaks, Colorado

On the way down from Humbolt Peak (14,064 feet), I stopped to photograph this little Colorado wildflower clinging to a ledge. While laying on my side with my legs dangling over the cliff, I had a great view of Crestone Needle (14,197) and Crestone Peak (14,294). In the distance, clouds were spilling over two of the Rocky Mountains most majestic peaks. But I couldn't linger long - it was still 7.5 miles and 5,000 feet down to our car and storms were moving in behind me.
