Texas Landscapes in Black and White - Summer Blues

I was driving back from a shoot in Fort Worth on a late August afternoon. As I passed by this dried out cornfield, I couldn't help but notice the thunderheads building in the west. My first thought was that this scene would look good in black and white. I turned around and found an old dirt road and pulled out the tripod, set it up on top of my SUV, and started shooting this typical summer Texas landscape. I eventually converted the image to b&w using a conversion program.
