Texas Hill Country Images - Summer Cypress along the Pedernales River

Along a bank of gnarled, twisted cypress tree roots flows the Pedernales River. This little section of the Texas Hill Country is one of my favorites, and when I'm photographing or just enjoy the bounty of Pedernales Falls State Park, it seems I rarely see anyone at this time of day. <br />

Across the river, the sun has just peeked over the distant cliffs. But this is early September and it is humid. About 30 seconds after I took this photograph, a few unwelcomed visitors - a pack of feral pigs - headed my way. Not wanting a tussle, I quickly packed up my tripod and cameras and headed out ahead of the snorking group. Yikes!
