Each August, the earth moves through the debris of a comet that produces the Perseid Meteor Shower. On this year in the Texas Hill Country, the moon was full when the shooting stars were were at their peak, but fortunately the light show can extend for a week or two before and after peak viewing. And thus I was able to capture the shooting stars over the Pedernales River basin. I set up my camera to take 30-second exposures for over three hours, then blended in the images to show what a time-lapse photograph would look during the course of the night.
